Senior Project Manager – Broadcast/IT – Permanent - London
A position for a strong, technical Senior Project Manager has arisen in London to work for a global company in the Broadcast Industry. This role requires someone who has a thorough understanding of the Broadcast Industry, content production/processing and media distribution. The Senior Project Manager plays an integral part in the successful completion of a portfolio of around 20-25 concurrent projects, ranging from internal technological developments, to client facing/customer focussed projects.
This will offer an opportunity to lead a team of Project Managers and work together to win new business and build/maintain existing partnerships. The team will be responsible for the majority of the portfolio, whilst a portion of the projects will be directly owned by the Senior Project Manager. Due to the nature of this role, stakeholder management and communication is key.
This role would suit someone with a background in business analysis, who is familiar with MS Visio (or equivalent) to create and present business process diagrams both internally and externally.
Due to the type of services and technology involved, a demonstrable background in delivering SDLC projects is essential, along with a strong technical understanding of file formats such as JSON, XML and Web service API’s such as REST.
- At least 3 years’ experience in delivering relevant projects
- Agile, PMP, Prince2 or equivalent
- Thorough knowledge of middleware, infrastructure, web services and system architecture
- Financial budgeting
- Risks and Issues
- Create technical business focused proposals
- Excellent written and spoken communication
- Stakeholder management
- Creating PIDs
This role will require infrequent travel and so the successful candidate must be eligible to travel within Europe.
